Finally a new post and its long!

It's been such a long time since my last post that this post will be super long because I had to play catch up and I was 3 months behind. But I wanted to get it done first because I like to keep it for my journal but also my sis works out of state for right now and it's almost been 5 weeks since we have seen her. I'm sure these pictures will make her home sick but I know she really wants to see the kids. These are just some random pictures so you can see how big the kids are getting. You know how Brady loves stuffed animals and I love this one when he's sleeping.

This is how our bedtime turns out to be. But now it's much worse because Brady won't stay in his bed and now he just gets in Maddix's bed.

We have been trying to take each kid out seperately on date nights. So Jason took Maddix to Chucky Cheese where she was spoiled by Dad.

Jason took Brady to dinner then to the park so they could spend some alone time together. They had so much fun.

While the boys went out, Maddix and I went to dinner then to paint pottery and then we stopped in for some ice cream. It was a great mommy daughter date.

Went to Lehi days and had such a blast with my family. The kids pigged out on junk food and we all had great bbq.

Maddix had a field trip to the Fire Station. But during the middle of it they got a call and had to leave. The kids had fun anyways.

My family and Maddix and I got to go to the Desert Botanical gardens and look at the Chahulay display. It was so beautiful and Maddix loved it.

This was Maddix's favorite piece and she kept making me take pictures of it. It is really beautiful. I can't believe all these pieces are hand blown glass.

Jason and I got to take Brady to an ASU basketball game while Maddix went out with Grandma Ernst. We had so much fun and Brady was such a good boy all night. He loved watching ASU beat UCLA. We love you so much buddy boy.

Happy Valentine's day to us. Daddy surprised the kids in the moring with donuts then they each got a little present letting them know how much we love them. Then we decided to take the kids to the zoo. Before we left I went to put on my wedding rings when what the heck I can't find them. After asking Maddix, she told me she took them but she didn't know where they were. After looking in all her things, I lift up the couch cushions and find a shiny thing in the crack of the couch. I swear if someone would have sat down in the spot again then it would have been gone forever. So we go to the zoo where Brady manages to lose his Sunday shoe to the tigers. Little stinker put his feet in and when I went to pull it out it came off. The tiger was right below us and he watched it drop all the way down. Then that night we met up with our good friends Travis and Jaymie for a pizza dinner with the kids and that just turned into a huge poopy deal thanks to Brady's diaper. It was a full day but we had so much fun. And then Jason surprised me and took me out of town the next weekend with out the kids for our Valentine's. We had a blast.

Jason celebrated his 28th birthday. His parents took our family out to PF Chang's which is one of Jason's favorite places. And then on his b-day I got to spend the whole day with him just hanging out while our parents took care of the kids. It was so nice. For dinner we went to Bennehanas which we love and we had so much fun. We spent a little over 2 hours there and we didn't mind a bit. It was so nice to sit and enjoy eating your food and not have to worry about the kids.

Maddix had a talent show at school and she wanted to sing a song. She sang part of it then stopped because she was a little shy. That's ok at least she tried and everybody thought you did great. I love you peanut! We got to go to our house in the mountains and took the kids tubing. Maddix and Brady loved it so much. It was so cute to watch them go tubing where I would go as a kid. We had so much fun!

Jae and I got to go snowboarding. It's been 5 years since I've gone. I've either been pregnant or nursing and haven't been able to leave my babies. But thanks to my Mom, she watched the kids while we went.

Maddix had her first day of Primary and she loves it. And I love it to because I'm in the primary presidency so I always get to watch her. Look at her here posing. She makes me laugh.

Maddix had a field trip with her preschool at the Zoo. She is such a sweet girl. I love you so much cuddle bug!

Happy New Year to us. We had a blast with my family. This year is going to be great.

We took the kids to Flagstaff so that they could go to the North pole and see Santa on the Polar Express. It was so much fun and crazy on the train with the kids. Next time maybe we shouldn't give Brady a 12oz. cup of hot chocolate. He was bouncing off the walls.

I love taking the kids to get their pictures taken with Santa every year. I remember my mom always taking me. They were so excited!

Until they had to sit on Santa's lap. Not so much fun for Brady. The poor boy went crazy and when I went to grab him he was shaking. I felt so bad but he's better now.

Maddix loved it and sat on his lap forever telling him everything she wanted. She wasn't shy!

Every year we have started a tradition to watch the Polar Express in our pj's and have snacks. Maddix had to watch it in her sleeping beauty dress. And Brady won't stop chugging his root beer!

Maddix had her first check up with the dentist and she loved it. Every time we go to the gym she asks if we can go to the dentist too. She might have had fun but I had 6 cavities.

Maddix had her 2008 Christmas Program at school. It was so great to watch her. She then gave me her first ornament with her picture in it with a card. It was so cute I cried later.

AC/DC

Jason and I have been waiting 8 years for AC/DC to come out with a new album and go on tour again. And it finally happened. Tickets went on sale and I was there waiting in line for 2 1/2 hours to make sure we got our tickets. So on Dec. 10th we finally got to go to the sold out show. It was my first time and Jason's 3rd time seeing them and all I can say is that the concert was one of the best I have ever been to!

Black Friday!

The last 3 years we havn't been able to go to the mountains for Thanksgiving so my Mom and I have made it a tradition to get out of bed and go shopping on Black Friday. We have never had to really get anything, we just like to go for fun. But this year was way different. My 2 sisters in law decided to join us for a crazy morning because this year I was on mission to get everything I wanted and they had to get what they wanted. We started off our day by getting up at 3 am then off to Kohl's we went. I didn't really have to get anything there just wanted to go for fun. So one of my sisters and I took off to Walmart so we could get there by 5. Jason met me there and as soon as Walmart said it was 5 am we went to town getting everything on our list. Then we took off to Target because they opened at 6 am. We waited in line and as soon as they opened the door we were off. I had a camera, dvd players for the truck, 2 movies, and 2 memory cards before Jason even got to the back of the strore. I was a maniac and so were the rest of my sisters. They got all the toys they needed and helped me score all my toys for the kids. After Target we ate breakfast then went to the mall and Toys R Us. We had so much fun and I was so exhausted by the end of the day I came home and slept until 8:30 pm. Thanks girls for such a fun day. Can't wait to do it all again next year.

Dance Class!

Maddix had her very first dance recital for Christmas. This was just a little one to show the parents what they have been working on and to also help prepare the girls for the big one in April. Daddy, Brady, and Grandma were lucky enough to come and watch her. She did so great and we are so proud of her. After wards we had a little party for the girls and parents. Then we took her out to lunch and of course all she wanted was Neds Crazy Sub. She loves that place.

Hope everybody had a happy Thanksgiving because I know we sure did! We had such a great day. I love my family and I'm very grateful for everyone and everything we have in our lives. We are very blessed!

I love this picture so much. I love my kids with all my heart. Maddix and Brady keep us laughing nonstop. They are very happy kids. It's crazy to look at this picture Brady looks like a little boy and not a baby anymore . Where does the time go?

Maddix loves making pies with my dad. So the day before Thanksgiving they spent a couple of hours making 2 pumpkin pies, a cherry pie, a chocolate pie and a lemon pie.

Maddix had her Thanksgiving program at school and she did so great! Daddy, Brady and Grandma all got to come and watch her!

And at the end of everything they passed out corn bread that they had made for us. She was so proud of herself and I know we were really proud of her.


She was pretending to be turkey and I just had to get pictures because that hat is too cute on her. I know I want to gobble her up.

I love Maddix's Pre-School, they always get to do the funnest stuff. We went to a farm where the kids got to feed a goat, rabbit, hold chickens, pet a turkey, go on a hay ride, and ride a horse. They were also letting you milk a goat and drink the milk but as good as that sounded we passed on the idea. Although lots of people tried it and liked it.

My kids are crazy for animals. As soon as Brady sees any type of animal he goes nuts and starts screaming in laughter. It cracks us up.

California!

Jason and I were lucky and got to spend the weekend in Cali. while my parents watched the kids. My brother-in-law Justin is living over there right now working a new job and he is away from his family so Jason was going to go visit him so I said, "wouldn't it be better if we make it a couple's weekend and bring his wife and me along too?" So that's what we did but Justin had no idea, that's what we were really going to do so we surprised him pretty good. Halloween was on Friday night and we went to bed at 1:30 a.m. and then left for Cali at 3 a.m., that was not too fun. I was so tired but couldn't let Jason stay awake all by himself and drive so Theresa and I both stayed awake and kept him company. When we got to Justin's apartment we had Jason drop us off a block early so we could just walk in later and surprise him. Well surprise to us because it started to rain! Then we thought we could get in the back gate and it was locked. So then we had to walk to the front gate and that was locked so Theresa had to hop the fence and unlock it. So by the time we got to the apartment to surprise him we were soaking wet. But it was worth it because we had so much fun!

After dinner we went to Hollywood Blvd. and saw a bunch of weird people. This is the Chinese theatre.

We also saw Batman & Robin, Jack Sparro, and oh yes my favorite the same Spider Man that Rob and Big netted on their show. And don't worry, I didn't want to pose with him so as I was walking away and he threw this thing that was supposed to be his net at me and it caught my foot and scared the crap out of me! We all had a great trip.

October at a Glance!

October was one crazy, fun, and exciting month. First off we moved! We are now renting Jason's grandma's patio home until we can decide where we want to buy a home. We love, love it here! It is so big and it has so much storage space in the house and in the garage, we can't even fill it all up. That's a nice feeling we have never had before. October was filled with fun events all month long. Here is just some of the things we were up to in October.

Maddix made this very cute pumkin all by herself at school. She is doing so great at school. She writes her name so good and she loves to cut things out and she does such a great job. I love picking her up from school. Everytime I pick her up and ask what she did in school all she tells me is that we played and played and played and that's all we did. It's so cute but I have to be tricky to find out what else they really did. I found out she knows the whole pledge of allegence and I was so proud of her when she put her hand over her heart and told me.

For family home evening one night we decorated suger cookies!I love this picture of Brady! He is trying so hard to frost the cookie but most the time he would just end up eating them. The evidence is all over his face!
The next week we carved pumpkins for family home evening. Maddix is always so excited to start the project.
Both kids put there hands in the pumpkin once and then left the rest of job for me to do. They get that from Jason because he hates putting his hands in there too.He did help me poke the holes in the pumkin when my hand got tired. And of course Maddix just had to have the witch carved in the pumpkin.
The final project completed! And I must say it turned out great!

We had a Halloween party at my aunt's house this year and it turned out great. We got to play with cousins and eat great food.

Brady was the cutest Lion. If you ask him what a lion says he will roar for you.

Maddix had a Halloween Party with everybody from preschool. She even won her class pumkin to bring home. I didn't get a picture but it was a very silly face pumpkin.

HALLOWEEN! This was on Halloween. We first went to trunk or treat and that was fun but then we went to my in-laws neighborhood and took the kids trick or treating with Ryland and they had so much fun they never wanted to stop. The kids were so ecxited and caught on to the idea very quick. They would take off running to the houses and if somebody would let them pick their candy, they weren't shy about how many to take either. Thankfully nobody cared and they were just dumping loads of candy into their bags. Maddix's bag got so heavy she couldn't even hold it anymore. My favorite part of the night was when we were walking and I said I love halloween and Maddix looks up at me and yells, "me too!" then takes off running to the door to get more candy. She cracks me up.
