Look at him go!

So my strong little boy is just growing up way too fast. He just turned 5 months and for the last 2 weeks he has been crawling, pulling himself up, and also pushing himself up into the sitting position and he will just sit up so straight and stay there all by himself. We can't believe he is already doing all of this. It's crazy because he's so little to be doing what he's doing. But I always new he was active because I was pregnant with him for 9 months and felt his kicks the whole time . He is the sweetest little boy and we love him so much. We call him a little flirt because he giggles every time we kiss him. I can't help it because he has the best cheeks ever. Our children are such wonderful blessing in our lives.

Getting into all of the toys!

Crawling to mom!

Sitting and just playing so good with his toy!

Thanksgiving

So I just have to say Thanksgivng was so much fun. We had all our family there and there was a bunch of good food that we ate too much of. My Dad is one of the best cooks I know and he makes the best stuffing that I could always eat more of. The day before Thanksgiving my sister, Maddix, and I helped my Dad make pies. We had so much fun. Also I have to say I'm greatful that I didn't break my fingers. X-rays showed they are just very briused and swollen. I was bringing in a jello salad on Thanksgiving morning and I tripped and fell and my knuckles got cought between the glass pan that weighed liked 5 pounds (not kidding) and the cement. It hurt so bad, I think the whole neighborhood heard me yelling. They are still so swollen that my wedding rings can only go on an 1/2 inch down my finger. I hope that they get back to normal soon because it's hard for me to even grab anything. So Mandy, if it looks like I'm being a wimp in your class I'm really not meaning too. So other than my finger throbbing all day and me having to ice it every hour, things went good. I'm thankful that I have such wonderful family and friends.

Maddix had to be like Mommy so Dad had to wrap her hand too. I love her!

Tag I'm It!

I've been tagged by a couple of people and I'm just now getting to it. So here's 6 things about me!

1. I love to jump on the trampoline at my parents house. I love to do back flips, front flips and anything else. I was a gymnast when I was younger so when I get on one it just makes me feel so free like I'm a little kid again. I have some of the best memories of me on it. I really cant wait to get one when we get a house so I can teach my kids how to do flips and just wacth them have fun.

2. My favorite holiday has to be Christmas and my B-day. I am probably the biggest kid I know when it comes to Christmas. I love the whole excitment of buying and giving gifts. I love Christmas Eve because my family has a big party. And I still wake up at 2 in the morning just to go look at all the gifts. I will never stop that and I'm sure I will wake my kids up just to go look with them. I love my B-Day because it's like the birthday that never ends. It's seriosly like a 3 day event and I love every minute. Jason and my parents always tease me because it's so true.

3. I have amazing feet even though Jason always makes fun of them. I can pick up anything with my toes and I can do alot of things with them. Jason calls them tingers; half toes, half fingers. He's such a dork but that cracks me up. Sometimes when Jae is sitting on the floor and I'm on the couch I will start scratching his head with them and just to freak him out. It's so funny. But if you got talent use it.

4. I love roller coasters. I have always loved them and anything else that will give me and adrenaline rush. They are so much fun going up high and then letting them drop you. It's just so thrilling. My family thinks it's so amazing because I get car sick over everything but nothing ever happens to me on roller coasters. I love going to Six Flags, Disneyland and even the Fair. The whole atmosphere is just so much fun, who wouldn't love it?

5. I always have plan no matter what it's about or how far or close the event is. Whether it's my kids B-day and what type of party it will be to where we are going to eat for dinner or even what we are doing for a holiday. If it's in our future, there is a plan to go with it. I have to have a plan so I know whats going on. I hate not knowing something and not to be in control over a situation. My whole family knows this, that's why we always have my baby showers at my mom's because I can plan and help with the whole thing. I'm kind of a freak about it but I love it and if anyone needs a party done I always know what to do.

6. I love numbers. Kind of wierd but they are so interesting to me. I love to add, subtract and multiply numbers. I guess it started in 4th grade when we use to have races on who could multiply the fastest. My favorite number game is Suduko. I will sit and play it on the cumputer when the kids take a nap or at night. I make sure I always figure it out. I can't walk away from it unsolved or I will constanly be thinking about. Jae laughs at me but I remind him that it's so good for the brain.

So now that you know 6 dirty things about me tell me 6 things about you! I tagged Allison and Tairi and who ever else wants to!

Who cracked the egg?

So I was really in a hurry this morning I was meeting my mom and I was trying to get ready. I was down stairs and Maddix was playing with my jewelry. I needed to go upstairs and Maddix said she was coming up with me. Well she never came and she was being way too quiet. I came back down stairs to check on her and found her cracking all my eggs. She broke every egg in the carton. I just started to laugh because you know it's just one of those things that will only happen once or at least you hope it will only happen once so you just have to laugh. Jason and I still laugh every time we see a picture or just think about it. But I must say this was a nasty mess to clean up.

Brady's Blessing

This past Sunday was so special. Brady had his baby blessing in church and it was so special because it was the first time Jason had ever got to give a blessing. He did such a good job. The spirit was so strong and I was so proud of him. Linda Peterson free hand the whole blessing and printed it out for us to put in his baby book and we thought that was really cool. Brady also looked so cute in his outfit I left him in it all day. Thanks to all of our family and friends that made it out, we really appreciated it.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was so much fun. I had a blast dressing the kids up and they looked so cute in their outfits. Brady was a monkey and Maddix was a fairy. We went to trunk or treat at the church and we all had so much fun. Maddix was pretty shy going from car to car but she loved the fact that she got candy so she always made sure dad was by her side to lead her to the next car. Maddix's favorite part was of course eating the candy. At one point she had three suckers in her mouth at one time. What could I do, she was having so much fun just being a kid. I figured one night wouldn't hurt. And Brady was such a trooper. He was so laid back the whole time and just took in everything. He is so sweet and he looked so adorable as a monkey with his chubby cheeks.

Oops!

So we are trying to potty train Maddix and she's starting to like it more and more. So today I was getting her ready for her bath and I left the bathroom for just a second to check on Brady. When I get back Maddix is on the big potty squating and she say's to me "mommy I'm going pee pee on the big potty." Well she was going pee on the big potty but maybe next time she'll remember to lift the lid up. Oops! These are the wonderful gifts you get when your potty training. But all I could do was laugh because she was so proud of herself and so was I because at least she is getting the concept. Maddix always gives us something good to laugh about.

Monday, October 15, 2007

I just started my last rotation for school at Mesa Public Schools. I work with autistic and learning disabled kids which at times is difficult. Maddix and Brady are getting so big. Maddix is talking so much now, she can basically carry on conversations with us and her favorite thing is to sing everything she says. It cracks us up. Brady just started rolling over and is trying to crawl. Katie is staying real busy being a mom.

Brady was born on June 18th, 2007 and weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz.

Here is Maddix on July 4th wearing the skirt that Mandy made for her. Isn't she so dang cute!

This picture is from my graduation day on August 4th, 2007.

About Us

Hey everyone! So we finally took the plunge and created a blog. Currently, Katie is having a blast being a stay at home mom and I am finishing up my Master's in Occupational Therapy degree. I have one more internship and the certification test and I will be done. I can't believe that it's almost over. I just presented my thesis today which is a huge weight lifted off my back. I am still working at Rehab Arizona, hopefully the company I will be with forever. My goal is to be a Certified Hand Therapist which is quite challenging since you are required to practice in hand therapy for 5 years before you can be eligible to take yet another certification test. I still get to play basketball once or twice a week but I have basically retired to church ball which is always a good time. Katie wants to begin doing facials and skincare out of the house in the future. Katie is the best mom and teaches the kids so much. We have 2 beautiful kids named Maddix and Brady. Maddix is 2 years old and is seriously so girly it scares me. Brady is almost 3 months old and is such a good, mellow baby. They are both so much fun and we love them so much. It is always exciting at our house! For those of you that do not know, I was baptized into the LDS church about 6 months ago. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself and for my family. It has truly blessed us.
