California!

Jason and I were lucky and got to spend the weekend in Cali. while my parents watched the kids. My brother-in-law Justin is living over there right now working a new job and he is away from his family so Jason was going to go visit him so I said, "wouldn't it be better if we make it a couple's weekend and bring his wife and me along too?" So that's what we did but Justin had no idea, that's what we were really going to do so we surprised him pretty good. Halloween was on Friday night and we went to bed at 1:30 a.m. and then left for Cali at 3 a.m., that was not too fun. I was so tired but couldn't let Jason stay awake all by himself and drive so Theresa and I both stayed awake and kept him company. When we got to Justin's apartment we had Jason drop us off a block early so we could just walk in later and surprise him. Well surprise to us because it started to rain! Then we thought we could get in the back gate and it was locked. So then we had to walk to the front gate and that was locked so Theresa had to hop the fence and unlock it. So by the time we got to the apartment to surprise him we were soaking wet. But it was worth it because we had so much fun!

We all went to Benihanas for dinner and it was excellent!

After dinner we went to Hollywood Blvd. and saw a bunch of weird people. This is the Chinese theatre.

We also saw Batman & Robin, Jack Sparro, and oh yes my favorite the same Spider Man that Rob and Big netted on their show. And don't worry, I didn't want to pose with him so as I was walking away and he threw this thing that was supposed to be his net at me and it caught my foot and scared the crap out of me! We all had a great trip.

October at a Glance!

October was one crazy, fun, and exciting month. First off we moved! We are now renting Jason's grandma's patio home until we can decide where we want to buy a home. We love, love it here! It is so big and it has so much storage space in the house and in the garage, we can't even fill it all up. That's a nice feeling we have never had before. October was filled with fun events all month long. Here is just some of the things we were up to in October.

Maddix made this very cute pumkin all by herself at school. She is doing so great at school. She writes her name so good and she loves to cut things out and she does such a great job. I love picking her up from school. Everytime I pick her up and ask what she did in school all she tells me is that we played and played and played and that's all we did. It's so cute but I have to be tricky to find out what else they really did. I found out she knows the whole pledge of allegence and I was so proud of her when she put her hand over her heart and told me.

For family home evening one night we decorated suger cookies!I love this picture of Brady! He is trying so hard to frost the cookie but most the time he would just end up eating them. The evidence is all over his face!
The next week we carved pumpkins for family home evening. Maddix is always so excited to start the project.
Both kids put there hands in the pumpkin once and then left the rest of job for me to do. They get that from Jason because he hates putting his hands in there too.He did help me poke the holes in the pumkin when my hand got tired. And of course Maddix just had to have the witch carved in the pumpkin.
The final project completed! And I must say it turned out great!

We had a Halloween party at my aunt's house this year and it turned out great. We got to play with cousins and eat great food.

Maddix had a Halloween Party with everybody from preschool. She even won her class pumkin to bring home. I didn't get a picture but it was a very silly face pumpkin.

HALLOWEEN! This was on Halloween. We first went to trunk or treat and that was fun but then we went to my in-laws neighborhood and took the kids trick or treating with Ryland and they had so much fun they never wanted to stop. The kids were so ecxited and caught on to the idea very quick. They would take off running to the houses and if somebody would let them pick their candy, they weren't shy about how many to take either. Thankfully nobody cared and they were just dumping loads of candy into their bags. Maddix's bag got so heavy she couldn't even hold it anymore. My favorite part of the night was when we were walking and I said I love halloween and Maddix looks up at me and yells, "me too!" then takes off running to the door to get more candy. She cracks me up.

FOR RENT

Hey everybody we are looking for renters to move in as soon as possible. We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath town home for rent in the Eastbrook Stratford townhomes. We are asking $800.00 a month and we will pay the HOA fees. I love this town home, neighborhood and ward so much and I know somebody else will enjoy it just as much as we did. Mexico

About 2 weeks ago Jason and I were lucky enough to go with some of our friends and spend the weekend in MEXICO without the kids! We had such a blast. We spent the days on the beach or swimming at the pools. The swim up bar had the best tacos and pina coladas ever (ours were virgin of course). We bought some great stuff from the venders. Every night we went to this bar/restaurant called Changos and had a blast. They had this Mexican guy singing American songs who was actually pretty good. On the way to Mexico we were saying how Garth Brooks has the best Karoake songs. So when we get to the bar on the wall they had a sign that said "I have friends in low places" So of course us girls had to take a picture of it. Then the last song the band sang was "I've got friends in low places" and the whole place was singing it so loud. We had such a blast and we can't wait to do it next year. One of the funniest things that happenend was when we were all on the banana boat and my sister was so scared to ride it and the boys were jumping on it so it was bouncing so much. Lindsay was in the middle of telling Erin don't worry it won't flip when all of a sudden she goes flying off with Jason and Rusty's foot was caught and he was getting dragged along the side of it. The poor boys lost their new sun glasses but thankfully they had there cheap ones on. And Lindsay just hurt so bad she didn't even want to ride it again.

Happy Birthday to me!

Today was my 26th birthday. Crazy I can't believe I'm that old. It was a great day but I should say it's been and is still going to be a great week. Jason always teases me because he always says my birthday is a celebration that lasts a week and it's very true even though I don't mean it to be. Sunday we celebrated my birthday with all my family. Tuesday night my in-laws took us out to eat for my birthday and gave me a gift card to go shopping with. And today is my actual b-day and I woke up to a dozen red roses on my night stand thanks to my handsome husband. I told Jason the only present I wanted was to go shopping for my birthday which I got that but he also surprised me with new sun glasses that I love so much. Then my best friend Jaymie took me out for lunch at Crackers, then my parents and sister took me out to eat at Olive Garden for dinner since Jason had school till 10:30. That was a bummer but he is taking me out on a date Friday night. Then on Saturday I get to be spoiled. I'm so excited I get to have a facial, massage, my hair cut and colored and then a pedicure and a manicure. I'm so excited for this I can't even wait. So far turning 26 has been really good to me.

First day of dance class!

So we have now entered into the world of dance. Maddix has been asking me for the last couple of weeks if today is the day she goes to dance. Well this moring she knew she was going and she woke up and ran around the house yelling, "I get to go to dance today, hurray." She had her first class ever and she loved it. I was so proud of her. She went right into class and put her ballet shoes on and listend to her teahcer. She came home and showed everybody her new moves and she was so happy to tell us all about it.
