Easter!

Easter weekend was so busy but very fun. Saturday we had a family picnic with all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids. It was such a nice day out and we all had so much fun enjoying each other's company and watching the kids play and seeing them have an Easter egg hunt. That night we went over to the Ernsts' for a while and the kids got Easter baskets from them and got to have another Easter egg hunt. Easter Sunday was so nice. My family all went to my parents' where we got to eat dinner and have another Easter egg hunt. Maddix got real good at this and would call her eggs when she saw them so her cousin wouldn't get them. But she was sweet and they both ended up sharing there eggs and candy.

My mom and I took the kids to see the Easter bunny and Maddix loved him and didn't want to leave and Brady wasn't to sure about the whole thing.

Rodeo! Yee Haw!

Last week my parents' Stake had a rodeo and I have been going to it since I was a little girl and now Jason and I get the chance to take our kids. Maddix was so excited and has been talking about it for weeks. She really wanted pink boots to wear that day so my mom took her out and bought her some pink boots and a whole outfit. Thanks Mom! She was so excited that day, all she wanted to do was ride a horse and chase a chicken. I have been hearing this for weeks. So when the day came she was thrilled. She got to chase chickens but didn't catch one. She was so close to catching one but as she went to pick it up a little boy pushed her down and he grabbed it. I was pretty close to pushing that kid down. I know thats not nice but it really made me mad. All was well because her cousin got a chicken and she got to pet it. They also had an event where the kids could chase a goat and grab a dollar off of it and of course Maddix wasn't going to let that pass her by. She went up to the goat and grabbed the dollar, I was so proud of her. Now thats definitely my girl. We had so much fun. Maddix keeps asking when she gets to go to another rodeo. Thankfully we go to one in the mountains every year for the 4th of July.

Poor Brady!

Maddix loves being a big sister but poor Brady gets the bad end of it sometimes. But I don't think he would have it any other way because he will follow his sister anywhere she goes and takes everything she does to him with a smile on his face. This is just a couple things Maddix did to him over the past couple of days.

She wrote all over his face with chalk and in the car she took a pen to his face while she was sleeping but I don't have a picture of that. What does she think, that he's an open canvas?

Two days in a row she has decided that she would like to do Brady's hair. This is what I hear from her, "Mom what are you doing?" and I say, "nothing just packing the diaper bag" then she will say, "ok I'm just doing Brady's hair." Then this is what I find, his hair matted to his head with gel greased in it.

Snow Day!

We went to Jason's parents cabin in Payson last week and had so much fun as a family.We took the kids to the snow on Saturday and we had such a blast. It was so deep Maddix kept sinking in it up to her waist. We made a snowman named what other than Frosty. Every snow man we make Maddix names Frosty. Obviously, she loves that song but in the song she changes the words to frosty has a very shiny nose. It's so cute to hear her sing it. Jason also pulled the kids around on the sled. We had a little snow fight and we ended the day by making smores. I love spending time with our little family and just watching Maddix have so much fun, and watching Brady touching the snow for the first time just wondering what it was. He kept trying to eat it and he would get the funniest face when he realized how cold it was. I'm so lucky to have such great family and I can't wait to have more fun times together.

Happy Valentines Day!

We had such a great Valentines. Jason only had to work a half a day so he took us out for lunch. He also gave me a present to go get a 2 hour massage. I'm so excited to go because my mom goes all the time and tells me how good this lady is and I've been wanting to go forever. This is the best present!

Happy 27th Birthday Jason

Jason turned 27 on February 7th. For his birthday I surprised him and took him out all day and night so we could spend the day together just like old times. We had such a fun day. Jason is my best friend and I have loved him since the day we met. We have been through so much together. He is such a wonderful man, husband, and father. I love him for so many reasons. I love when he sings rock a bye baby to our kids at night to help them go to sleep, or when he's there for me when I've had a long day and I just need somebody. He has worked so hard in school to provide for our family . He is a blessing in my life and I know with out a doubt he was meant for me. I love you so much and I cant wait to spend many more birthdays with you!

We went to Tempe Town Lakes and took a paddle boat onto the lake. It was so much fun and so relaxing.

Happy New Years

Over New Years we went to our house in the mountains and it was so much fun. We spent New Years night there after we went to dinner and a movie with our family. The kids stayed up so late and Maddix was so hyper. She was up till at least one in the morning yelling happy new years and dancing. Still to this day she will tell us to have Happy New Years.

We had a bonfire with our family and it was so cold.

Maddix loves the snow! She would barely come in the house for a second to warm up. My dad loves her so much and spent over 2 hours outside one day building a snowman and taking her on the sled. This is my Dad, Maddix and Frosty. Maddix loves to get in the kitchen and cook everybody dinner.
